Shorts for days!

Hey guys. As I sit here and type this I’m feeling pretty miserable – I’ve had a cold/allergies for 2 weeks that has now turned into an ear infection. But I figured a new blog post would at least make me feel productive instead of moping around.

I thought I would pick shorts. Shorts are a little tricky I think. I mean first of all there is literally not a lot of material to work with lolol so how cute and personalized can they be? Also I feel a lot of times they’re looked at as just a necessity in summer but not necessarily as fashion. What I hope to show you is that for not a lot of money you can find some really cool shorts!

Most of my shorts are from either Target or JCrew. I really don’t understand paying $120 for a designer cutoff brand of shorts when in all honesty they will look very similar to a pair from Target. You are literally paying for the label. Maybe I am just jealous of the people that can afford those designer shorts though lol ๐Ÿ™‚ Also go with whatever length you are comfortable with. There are lots of choices out there!

Alright let’s get down to the shorts. Here’s a roundup of some shorts I wouldn’t mind having in my closet, enjoy!

Point Sur Embroidered High-Rise Short

OK guys so I almost already broke my 1st rule here of not paying over $100 for shorts BUT these are currently on sale for $58 so we’re safe *whew* ๐Ÿ™‚

JCrew Paper Bag Short

Another adorable JCrew find! These are so flattering on and you can just throw on a plain tee and go and you still look so put together!

JCrew Point Sur Seaside Short in Linen

Another adorable JCrew find. These are pretty plain but I adore this mustard color! I love the whole outfit pairing!

High-Rise Destroyed Midi Jean Shorts

A white, destroyed pair that will literally go with anything. This is a closet staple to me.

Gingham Print High-Rise Seersucker Tie Chino Shorts

What’s old is new again. Don’t be dismayed by gingham – it’s cute and has personality! Love the bow on these too.

High-Rise Jean Short

Simple and timeless, love the frayed edge and light wash. Another closet staple.

Paper-bag Short in Orange Striped

Another adorable and affordable option! Orange is very trendy this would look great with a white tee.

Denim Shorts in Blue Trashed

Another staple I believe. These have even more rips than the earlier pair I showed. Go with whatever amount of distressing you are comfortable with.

Embroidered Shorts

So pretty and a statement on their own, you can keep the rest of your outfit neutral like the models.

Linen-Cotton Scalloped Hem Short

JCrew does scalloped shorts right! I own these in multiple colors.

Tie Waist Stripe Linen Shorts

Just give me this whole outfit please, thanks!

High Waist Cutoff Denim Shorts

These are pretty simple but what a fun color, I love them!

Chambray Short

This is darling. So ladylike and sophisticated!

Sydney Scarf-Printed Shorts

These are on the more expensive side of what I would be willing to spend on shorts but the great thing about Anthro is you can wait for them to go on sale ๐Ÿ™‚

What do you think? Did you find a pair you loved? Let me know in the comments below, please!
